- ➤ Hundreds of middle school students gathered at HMMA’s 5th annual robotics competition today to display their homemade robots and engineering skills. The event showcased local talent and hands-on learning. WSFA 12
- ➤ Alabama lawmakers approved a bill Wednesday to give military veterans a five-year temporary teaching certificate in K-12 schools — the program aims to boost veteran employment and classroom discipline even as rulemaking may delay veteran teaching until after next school year. Alabama Daily News
- ➤ Forty-two contestants met at the Cattlemen's Association in Downtown Montgomery for lunch yesterday to thank their host moms and learn about the cattle industry before the Distinguished Young Women of Alabama showcase begins.
