- ➤ The Alabama State Board of Education discussed new social studies textbooks and delayed a November vote as members debated whether to follow the committee's picks or amend the list. - ➤ A new Technology Quality Assurance Board has been formed to set ethical guidelines and security controls for A.I. and other digital innovations, with Dr. Jeffrey Bohler from Auburn University at Montgomery noting that balanced oversight will help agencies avoid resource overlap (the board includes members from seven state agencies).
