- ➤ Montgomery Zoo celebrates 50 years during Zoo Weekend by hosting its annual spring fundraiser for community engagement. The milestone honors decades of local service and promises future educational activities. WSFA 12

- ➤ Montgomery County Children's Policy Council held its inaugural Character in Action ceremony to recognize notable middle and high school students. The event celebrated youth achievements & promoted community engagement. WSFA 12
- ➤ High school students from across Alabama gathered in Montgomery today for the second day of the Alabama Youth Legislature Conference, where they learned + shared ideas on state issues. - ➤ Alabama lawmakers passed HB78 to limit screen time in licensed child care, preschool and kindergarten, stressing hands-on learning & balanced use of screens. The bill now goes to the governor after a 2025 cell phone rule improved classroom focus. AL.com
- ➤ Lawmakers unveiled a coordinated career tech package Thursday that requests $150M to expand CTE programs and ease teacher shortages.
