- ➤ A nonprofit, Combat Antisemitism Movement, hosted nine Alabama mayors in Selma on March 8 (the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday) to urge cities to expand the definition of antisemitism in local laws and strengthen hate crime protections. Several mayors (including Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed) said they were considering new policies and would review proposals for increased security at community sites and enhanced heritage initiatives.
