CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Montgomery police said an adult male was fatally shot on Thursday when officers and fire medics arrived at 5:05 p.m. at Gatsby Drive at F Scott Court in Midtown Montgomery (the area is near Zelda Road). WAKA 8
- ➤ A juvenile boy died in a shooting Friday night in Montgomery when police and fire medics responded at 7:12 p.m. to a call on the 3600 block of Madolyn Lane (the victim was pronounced dead on scene), marking the city's 15th homicide this year. AL.com
- ➤ A juvenile was charged for a fatal shooting on February 1 around 8:26 p.m. on Eastern Boulevard that left 17-year-old Jekobi Douglas dead and another youth hospitalized, and police took a second juvenile into custody on April 3—he now faces capital murder and attempted murder charges. WAKA 8

- ➤ The Alabama Senate approved a bill on Thursday that ends the county health department form requirement for school vaccine exemptions and now requires a board-approved physical evaluation form or an athletic form from the past 12 months—this change aims to reduce delays for parents—and the bill now goes to the House.
