- ➤ Montgomery’s Parks and Recreation Department will host the 'Rep Your Team' teen tailgate party at the renovated Chisholm Community Center on Friday, April 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.—teen sports fans aged 13 to 17 can enjoy food, games, and music while wearing their favorite team apparel. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A family laid their loved one to rest in Montgomery Saturday after she was killed in what police say was an attempted carjacking in Autauga County — community members now call for justice against those responsible. WSFA 12
- ➤ A man died after a shooting on Friday night on the 1500 block of Hale Street as officers and fire medics arrived (just before 9 p.m.) and took him to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his gunshot wound (no suspect or motive is immediately clear), and police are investigating. WSFA 12
- ➤ Montgomery police charged 33-year-old Nicholus Daniels with first degree rape after an incident on March 23 at 2:30 a.m. near Forestdale Drive; he was arrested Friday by the US Marshal's Task Force and is held at Montgomery County Detention Facility. WSFA 12
