GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Gov. Kay Ivey signed Senate Bill 252, the Community Pharmacy Relief Act, into law Tuesday to add new rules for pharmacy benefit managers and help keep small pharmacies open. The law aims to increase transparency and ensure fair reimbursements for drugs—protecting patient access. WSFA 12
- ➤ Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen testified at a congressional hearing on 2024 elections that his office removed over half a million ineligible voters using its voter file (which relies on USPS data, social security death records, and agreements with other states) and is now set to remove nearly 40,000 voters who moved and over 5,000 dead voters.
