- ➤ Montgomery police investigated a fatal shooting on the 4700 block of Park Towne Way just off Troy Highway on Monday night at about 11:39 p.m.—a woman was found dead from a gunshot wound and a homicide investigation was launched. WAKA 8

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Troy University announced the launch of an artificial intelligence center on its downtown Montgomery campus, part of the Sorrell College of Business. The center—designed for business professionals to assess AI opportunities and lead change—is set to add masters-level programs in the coming months. WAKA 8
- ➤ Faulkner University is taking applications for its new speech-language therapy master’s program—started in 2022. The program will help students learn skills to assist people with communication difficulties. WSFA 12
