- ➤ This summer, the Equal Justice Initiative will celebrate Juneteenth in Montgomery when Grammy Award winning artists perform at the Montgomery Performing Arts Center on June 18—featuring gospel music by Yolanda Adams and Donald Lawrence and Company. The celebration continues on June 19 when Legacy Sites waive admission fees and free musical performances take place at the Peace and Justice Memorial Center—showcasing acts by Cécile McLorin Salvant, Terence Blanchard, and Jason Max Ferdinand’s choir. - ➤ Montgomery opened its new Fire Station 10 on South Court Street at Fairview Avenue yesterday using a $19 million investment to enhance emergency services for City Council Districts 4 and 7.
