- ➤ Nonprofits in the River Region were awarded over $186,000 in food and medical grants by the Central Alabama Community Foundation. The funds will support essential services for community members in need. WSFA 12
- ➤ The 29th annual Kevin Turner Prattville YMCA Golf Tournament took place Monday in Prattville with former Alabama kicker Michael Proctor and current Auburn kicker Alex McPherson serving as guest hosts. - ➤ Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced that all K-12 military base schools will make the Presidential Fitness Test mandatory across facilities including Maxwell Elementary (at Maxwell Air Force Base) and Ellis D. - ➤ A new analysis by the Public Affairs Research Council found that 56% of Alabama high school seniors earned a silver or higher WorkKeys certificate in 2025, down from 59% in 2024, while Montgomery’s Loveless Academic Magnet Program saw 58% of its students earn the highest platinum level, 20+ percentage points above any other school statewide.
