The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts was awarded a $50,000 grant from the Genesis Inspiration Foundation to support free arts programs + classes taught by local artists, as Amp Up Arts received $25,000 to expand PreK to 12 arts education and a STEAM workshop was hosted at Southlawn Middle School.

Montgomery 5th graders finished the District Attorney’s I-LEAD program today — they learned key conflict resolution skills at their school.

The program prepares students to better manage disputes and build positive relationships.

Genesis donated $50,000 to fund Mechanical Engineering scholarships and STEM summer programming at Alabama State University to boost student research and hands-on learning.

The contribution, made through Genesis Gives, underscores its commitment to education and youth development.

The River Region Fencing Academy is now offering fencing classes at The Armory Learning Center and First United Methodist Church — giving local residents a chance to learn new skills.

The sessions will take place next Tuesday.
