COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Easterseals Central Alabama got a check for over $60,000 from the 21st Annual Crawfish Boil — held April 5 at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery. The donation will help pay for autism diagnosis services — speech therapy and occupational therapy for more than 500 local children. WAKA 8
- ➤ The Pike Road Patriot Fund hosted a crawfish boil (May 17) to benefit local students (in Pike Road). WSFA 12
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A Montgomery man died in a two-vehicle crash in Bullock County when his SUV was struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 82 and Bullock County Road 7—state troopers said the 39-year-old victim, Jordan Todd, was not wearing a seat belt—while the other driver and his passenger were injured and taken to Troy Regional Medical Center. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The 3rd Annual Red Bluff Music, Arts and Food Festival drew music lovers to downtown Montgomery riverfront for three days of art, music and food from Friday through Sunday. Rain fell midday Saturday — but the Riverfront Amphitheater cleared by night for concerts — keeping the festival spirit high. WAKA 8

- ➤ AAA’s Clay Ingram said gas prices in Alabama remain at $2.76, showing a two-cent rise since last week and a two-cent drop from a month ago—he expects holiday travel to keep market demand stable as increased OPEC production helps balance supply. WSFA 12
