Montgomery police charged 19-year-old Lepedro Grant with two counts of capital murder after a fatal shooting on the 3300 block of Royal Carriage Drive early Sunday that left 26-year-old Ki’era Campbell dead (Grant is now held at the Montgomery County Detention Facility).

Autaugaville held its last graduation ceremony— marking the end of the school— as 14 students graduated before enrollment, academic performance, and finances declined, forcing the closure.
