Councilor Ordone Mitchell and daughter Peyton Mitchell host Summerfest today to bring neighbors together for a celebration of summer fun in the community (welcoming family-friendly activities).

The Alabama Department of Public Health will host a Health and Heritage Festival on June 18 in Montgomery to promote wellness & healthy living while celebrating Juneteenth.

Montgomery Fire and Rescue commended off-duty firefighter Lieutenant Demetrius Gilmore for quickly saving a man's life at the Bell Road YMCA + he performed CPR and used an AED when he saw the man collapse during a pickleball game; the patient was transported to Baptist Medical Center South for treatment.

Former Carver alum Jeremy Johnson won his third LFA title with the Caudillos in Chihuahua last week.
