  • Central Alabama CrimeStoppers holds a gun buyback event aimed at reducing gun violence by offering cash for surrendered firearms in Montgomery. The program gives fifty dollars for a rifle or shotgun, one hundred dollars for a working handgun, and two hundred dollars for an assault or semi-automatic rifle.  WSFA 12
  • Thieves drove a car into a gun shop in East Montgomery early Saturday and stole merchandise inside the store, and police responded at 12:15 a.m. in the 11000 block of Chantilly Parkway near Cucos Mexican Cafe—repair work on the front window was underway.  WAKA 8
