- ➤ Yesterday, ground was broken for Montgomery’s first community organic urban farm and market—co-founded by sisters Erica and Erin Washington to honor their great-grandparents' legacy. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters from Montgomery Fire/Rescue responded at around 1:41 a.m. Monday to a blaze at a storage building on the 2500 block of Poplar Street — the fire spread to an adjacent structure and investigators are looking into the cause while no one was injured. WAKA 8
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ CrimeStoppers 215stop Inc. is partnering with the City of Montgomery and the Montgomery Police Department to host a gun buyback event on Saturday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Faith Full Gospel Baptist Church + cash payouts will be offered for surrendered firearms while all weapons are destroyed to help reduce gun violence.
