  • Buckmasters Expo concluded its 30th annual event in Montgomery over the weekend with more than 300 booths showcasing outdoor gear and activities—attendees gained free entry with a canned food donation or $1 and the event supported the Friendship Mission and the Salvation Army.  WSFA 12

  • The scheduled execution of death row inmate David Lee Roberts is on hold as the state awaits a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation to check his competence—delaying his planned nitrogen gas execution set for Aug 21.  Alabama Daily News
  • Montgomery police are investigating two shootings that injured at least three people Sunday morning—no suspects have been named.  WSFA 12
  • A Montgomery woman has spent 25 years helping grieving mothers who lost loved ones to gun violence—she continues her support by sharing her own experience and offering comfort to others.  WSFA 12
  • Montgomery business owners say late-night parking lot parties along East South Boulevard often grow to 200 people with gunfire, reckless driving and vandalism damaging storefront windows and cars—police have increased patrols and urge parents to monitor their children.  WAKA 8
