- ➤ On October 29th, the EmPOWERHer event in partnership with Trenholm State Community College gave local high school girls a look at modern manufacturing where plants are bright and clean. - ➤ Montgomery plans Veterans Day events with a new banner program to honor local heroes year-round — the program lets families buy banners showing veterans’ photo, name, rank, service years and branch, and the official website will launch November 10. - ➤ Jackson Hospital announced a new three-member Board of Trustees on October 31 and named John Quinlivan as chief executive officer effective November 3 to lead the hospital through its Chapter 11 reorganization. - ➤ Montgomery Whitewater announced its fall and winter event lineup — featuring an outdoor ice rink, aerial ropes course, family game nights, broomball, trivia, campfire music and special events like Cousin Eddy’s 5K plus a Birmingham Bulls appearance — to offer holiday fun and outdoor adventure for all ages.
