Action 8’s Magical Christmas Toy Drive held a shopping spree on Nov 19 when Hawthorne, Atchison & Riddle bought over $1,000 in toys at a Walmart Supercenter on Chantilly Parkway and in Selma to help fill the toy vault for the Salvation Army of Montgomery.

The drive will continue to gather donations at the Shoppes at EastChase + other drop-off spots and will distribute toys to registered families before Christmas.

In November, Heart Gallery Alabama works to match foster children with adoptive families during National Adoption Month — only about 200 of the 6,000 children in foster care are ready for adoption.

The nonprofit helps ensure that these children receive the lasting love they need to thrive.
