- ➤ On Nov 22, The Shoppes at Eastchase held its annual Magical Christmas Parade featuring State Representative Reed Ingram — from Pike Road — along with local fire and police teams, high school bands, and community groups. Santa visited the parade before the shopping center held its tree lighting ceremony. WAKA 8
- ➤ NFL running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, a Montgomery native, returned last Saturday to give away over 1,000 turkeys at Sheridan Heights Community Center for Thanksgiving—volunteers grilled burgers and fans received autographed Nike gear during the event. - ➤ Action 8’s Magical Christmas Toy Drive was underway yesterday when Mullinax Montgomery — assisted by Estee Morrison and Shane Butler — went on a shopping spree at Walmart Supercenter on Chantilly Parkway to buy over $1,000 in toys for the Salvation Army of Montgomery, and the toys will be distributed to families before Christmas. - ➤ Salvation Army of Montgomery kicked off its red kettle campaign Friday at a Sam’s Club event in Montgomery — the goal is to raise $200,000 for support services in 2026. Volunteers will collect donations at locations across the region until Christmas Eve. WAKA 8

- ➤ Prattville Elementary students graduated from the Junior Master Gardener Program that teaches agriculture and horticulture. School leaders said the program offered valuable insights for student growth. WSFA 12

- ➤ On Saturday, No. 10 Alabama beat Eastern Illinois 56-0 as six players scored touchdowns and the team made key plays—an early interception and a blocked punt—with eight rushing touchdowns.
