- ➤ On November 25, the YMCA of Greater Montgomery gave out nearly 350 Thanksgiving meal kits and turkeys through its Brown Bag Bus to help children, seniors and families in need + the program started in 2017 and now serves about 500,000 meals each year. WAKA 8
- ➤ Montgomery City and County leaders sponsored a Christmas celebration at Eastbrook Village on Coliseum Boulevard last night. The event featured a light reveal, ballet, caroling, Santa Claus and discounts from stores and restaurants, and this was the second year it was held. WAKA 8
- ➤ Child Protect has protected kids in the River Region since 1989—local residents can donate on Giving Tuesday to help the nonprofit continue its work. WSFA 12
- ➤ A food drive in Lowndesboro gave families in Lowndes County the means to prepare Thanksgiving dinner, officials said. Local volunteers organized the drive ahead of the holiday—ensuring many households can enjoy a warm meal. WSFA 12
