- ➤ That Animal Group, a local nonprofit, held its Christmas party Sunday at PJ's Furniture on Dalraida Road and presented checks to Montgomery Humane Society, Troy Animal Rescue Project and Tuskegee Veterinary School. They also donate dog food monthly to Meals on Wheels for homebound pet owners. WAKA 8
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Santa Claus visited the Alabama Shakespeare Festival on Sunday where dozens of children met him and shared their Christmas wishes (he will return Dec. 23 and Dec. 24 during Disney’s Frozen the Broadway Musical). WAKA 8
- ➤ WSFA celebrated its 70th anniversary in Episode 26 of ‘Being Real with Bethany’ yesterday — featuring former production manager Roger Thomas who set high standards behind the scenes. WSFA 12
- ➤ The Montgomery Emancipation Association holds its annual event commemorating the Emancipation Proclamation. Community members are invited to join in a day of remembrance honoring a historic document (a key moment in our local heritage). WSFA 12
- ➤ Montgomery Zoo is lighting up the season with a Christmas lights display that will run for a limited time; visitors are invited to enjoy the festive show before it ends in less than two weeks. WSFA 12
