Montgomery fire stations are hosting a gingerbread house showdown this holiday season to showcase their festive creativity.

Over the weekend, over 100 young men from the Guide Right mentorship program bought Christmas gifts for in-need families at the Kappa Alpha Psi building on Walnut Street + the event partnered with the Christmas Clearinghouse program to select recipients.

The Salvation Army of Montgomery held its Distribution Day Saturday to provide donated toys to preregistered families, and more than 1,200 households benefited from the Magical Christmas Toy Drive plus other local efforts, giving them a Merry Christmas.
