About this event

IRWA Course 218 – Right of Way Acquisition for Electrical Transmission Projects is a two-day, intermediate-level course designed for right of way professionals involved in the acquisition of property rights for electrical transmission projects.

This course provides a comprehensive look at the full scope of the right of way acquisition process, from project development and landowner contact through negotiations and acquisition. Participants will explore effective negotiation techniques, common challenges encountered during transmission projects, and practical approaches for identifying problems and developing solutions.

Whether you work for an electric utility, consulting firm, government agency, engineering company, or another organization involved in transmission development, Course 218 provides valuable, real-world knowledge that can be applied directly to your work.

The course awards 16 continuing education credits (CEUs) and may be applied as an intermediate elective toward the IRWA SR/WA designation or RWP certification. No prerequisites are required.

Join fellow right of way professionals for two days of education, discussion, and professional development focused specifically on the unique challenges of acquiring right of way for electrical transmission infrastructure.
