- ➤ A new bill called the VA Appraisal Modernization Act is proposed to boost the number of VA-approved appraisers and make home loans faster for veterans. The measure, announced by senators including R-Mont lawmaker Tim Sheehy, will raise fees in high-demand counties (effective Jan. 1) to attract more appraisers. AL.com
- ➤ The Alabama House passed a bill on Tuesday that will change reimbursement rates for ambulance companies from health insurers to boost healthcare in rural areas. Lawmakers say the move is designed to strengthen emergency services in remote communities. WSFA 12
