  • Montgomery and Access Montgomery have announced finalists for the 2025 MGM Small Business Awards that will honor local entrepreneurs on Thursday, August 22 at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. CRIME NEWS

  • Police responded at 5:51 p.m. Friday to a shooting on Woodley Road in Montgomery—21-year-old Jaricho Hinkle was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead while another man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  AL.com
  • Montgomery police are investigating two reports of property damage near Zelda Road in the 3100 block of Malone Drive after gunfire was reported on August 10 at 4:35 a.m. and again at 2:55 p.m.—no injuries were reported.  WAKA 8
  • Montgomery police arrested Atquis Smith (30) for felony attempting to elude after he led officers on a chase that started on The Meadows and ended when his vehicle crashed on McInnis Road Monday night.  WSFA 12
